Spinal Problems

Approximately 80% of people suffer BACK PAIN some time in their lives. Sprains and strains of the back are apart of everyday life. There are many possible causes of back and neck pain including poor posture, poor lifting techniques, sitting for too long at computers, carrying heavy bags, sports, arthritis, weak and unsupportive core muscles, how we walk (gait), accident and general activities of living. Possible structures in the back which can be affected include intervertebral discs, ligaments, muscles and tendons, facet joints, body alignment and nerves (including the sciatic nerve in the lower back) Physiotherapy can help to relieve symptoms, regain normal movement and restore function, returning you to sport and work as well as preventing future episodes.
